Highland HomesAccording to Yahoo News construction of new U.S. homes rose in June to the highest level in seven months. Specifically, construction of new homes and apartments has increased an unexpected 3.6 percent in the month of June according to the Commerce Department.

This is happy news for all home builders including Highland Homes. While Highland Homes has seen consistent growth in sales, they are delighted by the increase in home building nationwide.

Not only are builders happy but, the increase was and is a pleasant surprise to economists who were expecting a more modest number. The article suggests that builders are hurriedly pouring foundations for new home to be completed by November because of the new home buyer tax credit included in the federal stimulus package. Lower prices are also attracting new home buyers. The National Association of Home Builders reported that the confidence level of builders has risen to the highest level in almost a year.

Additionally, applications for building permits rose almost nine percent in June. This may indicate further growth in the coming months.

As for Highland Homes, they will continue to deliver affordable Florida new homes. Whether they are building Lakeland new homes or new homes in Tampa Bay, Highland Homes wants their home buyers to be happy. And with low prices plus the new home buyer tax credit, how could they not?
