Polk State College

Florida Polytechnic University

Florida Polytechnic University became the 12th and newest member of Florida’s University System when it split off from the University of South Florida in 2012. Florida Poly’s curriculum will focus on science, technology, engineering and math, and is thus known as a STEM school. The school’s new campus is currently under construction and could open its doors to students in the fall of 2014. The new school will work closely with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to become accredited as quickly as possible.
