Winston II Takes First Place in Lake County Parade of Homes

At Highland Homes, we love our beautiful new Leesburg homes, but we’re not the only ones who think our homes are special. We are excited to announce that our Winston II model home at Whitemarsh recently won first place in the Lake-Sumter Parade of Homes in the $180,001 to $225,000 category!

Strawberry Festival Brings Fun Near Tampa New Homes

Spring is in the air, and those who call the Florida real estate in Tampa or the surrounding areas home know that means it is time for the Florida Strawberry Festival! The Strawberry Festival opens in Plant City on March 1 and runs through March 11, 2012.
The Strawberry Festival brings a piece of traditional Americana to Florida with exhibits that include agriculture, commerce, fine arts, horticulture, crafts, and plenty of entertainment. This year’s concert lineup includes amazing headlining acts such as Gretchen Wilson, Demi Lovato, Air Supply, Hank Williams Jr., Vince Gill, The Charlie Daniels Band, TobyMac and Reba.
In addition to the headliners, there are plenty of free entertainment shows including Rock-It the Robot, the Sea Lion Splash Show, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, woodwork and rope making demonstrations, Kandu Magic Show and musical performances by Suite Caroline, Ronnie McDowell and Makenzie Raye to name a few. For those looking for hands-on entertainment, try out the strawberry shortcake or corndog eating contests, a strawberry stemming contest, or the karaoke contest!
