Highland Homes, a privately-owned homebuilder based in Lakeland, Fla., was recently honored by the Tampa Bay Business Journal on two of the publication’s lists: No. 6 largest homebuilder in Tampa Bay on its Homebuilders List and No. 84 fastest-growing company in Florida on its Florida Fast 100 List.

“We are honored to be recognized once again by the Tampa Bay Business Journal,쳌 said Bob Adams, President of Highland Homes. “Our team is dedicated to the satisfaction of our homeowners and that shows in our ongoing success as a Florida home builder.쳌

The Tampa Bay Business Journal surveyed builders in Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota for its Homebuilders List. The list’s rankings were based on the number of closings builders had in these Tampa counties in 2014.

Highland Homes helped 351 families in Tampa Bay achieve their dream of homeownership last year, and was one of just two privately owned homebuilders to make the top 10 on the Homebuilders List. Highland Homes is based in Tampa Bay, in Polk County, and as a local and family-owned company, is honored to be recognized for its success when compared to the many large national homebuilding corporations who also made the list.

In addition to the Homebuilders List, Highland Homes was recognized as the No. 84 fastest-growing company in the state of Florida on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Florida Fast 100 List. This recognition comes just two months after the builder was honored as one of the 50 fastest growing, privately-owned companies in Tampa Bay at the publication’s Fast 50 luncheon.

For the Florida Fast 100 List, the Tampa Bay Business Journal worked in conjunction with the Orlando, Jacksonville and South Florida Business Journals to rank the 100 fastest growing, privately-held, for-profit organizations headquartered in Florida, based on percentage of revenue growth from 2012 to 2014. Highland Homes boasted 95.74 percent growth during this time period.

The builder was also awarded spots on several top builder lists this year including being ranked the No. 102 largest builder in the nation on BUILDER Magazine’s Builder 100/Next 100 and No. 154 on Professional Builder’s Housing Giants lists.

For more than 40 years, Owner and President Bob Adams has built new homes in Tampa Bay. He was a founding partner of Sun State Homes prior to forming Highland Homes in 1996. Adams’ dedication, strong leadership and a commitment to his customers has made Highland Homes a leading home builder and one of the most successful privately owned companies in Florida.

“There is no substitute for experience,쳌 Adams said. “Our dedicated staff and long standing relationships with local construction subcontractors and suppliers help us to provide a quality, high-value product and ensure the satisfaction of our homeowners.쳌

Highland Homes builds quality new homes priced from the $130,000s to the $300,000s in communities throughout Central, North Central, Southwest and Tampa Bay, Florida. The builder boasts more than 30 homes plans to choose from, offering everything from easy maintenance townhomes to luxury estate homes on acreage.
