March Breaks Records with Most Tampa New Homes Sold in 7 Years

If you are looking for more proof that the Florida housing market is improving, then look no further than Tampa. In March, more than 3,100 Tampa new homes were sold in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties. Not only is this number a 7 percent increase from March 2012, but it is also the busiest month for home sales since May 2006.
In addition to the record breaking sales, March saw an increase in home prices according to the Tampa Bay Times and data from My Florida MLS. The average home price for March was $150,000 which is a 22 percent increase from March 2012. Read More→
