The Parade of Homes is going on in Polk County, and at Highland Homes we’re pleased to announce that we have won another award for our newest community of Winter Haven homes. Overlook Ridge is located off Overlook Road just south of Dundee Road in Winter Haven. The new model center was finished just in time for the Parade of Homes on Saturday, Oct. 29. Homes are judged in several price ranges, and every year we have entered a home in the Parade, we have won the coveted “Home of the Year” award for our entry.
This year was no different, and the new Edinburgh II model at Overlook Ridge was awarded the top prize in our price category. The model was decorated by Highland Homes’ award-winning designer, Stacey Antonakos-Perez, who is also our Personal Selection Studio manager. Stacey was also the designer of several of our previous Parade of Homes award-winning models in Central Florida and has received many design awards throughout her career.
The Edinburgh II offers 1,488 square feet of living area with an open great room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, indoor laundry room and a two-car garage. The kitchen draws a lot of attention in this plan and boasts a large picture window at the nook area, ample cabinet and counter space and a large bar top that is open to the great room. The home also includes a spacious covered lanai off of the great room for relaxing in our beautiful Florida autumn weather.
One of the features of this home that most impressed the judges is the master suite with luxury bathroom. The master suite is 13’ x 19’, which is quite large for most homes but especially in this price point. This allows plenty of room for oversized furniture to make the suite your sanctuary, and provides his and hers walk-in closets. The luxury bath has a large vanity with double sinks, tiled walk-in shower and a nice garden tub.
