Are you looking for a new home in Tampa Bay that offers the ideal combination of a laid-back setting and convenience to the city of Tampa, recreation, and your daily necessities? Gibsonton, a small city situated south of Tampa, on the east side of Hillsborough Bay, just may be the perfect place to call Home. Once known as the winter home of carnival and circus folk, today, it’s a welcoming home for anyone who enjoys an affordable cost of living in a laid-back locale with easy access to the best of Tampa Bay.

We are pleased to build new homes in Gibsonton at Symmes Cove. This beautiful, new neighborhood is shaded by towering trees and offers a peaceful enclave away from (but convenient to) the hustle and bustle of the city. Just 32 homes will be built here, offering a small and exclusive community with conservation views and open space.

Mosaic Park offers a playground and tennis courts on the shores of the Alafia River. My personal favorite, the Alafia Scrub Nature Preserve, offers 80-acres of diverse habitats and pet-friendly hiking trails, with a scenic overlook of the Alafia River.

Manatee Viewing CenterCatch a glimpse of graceful manatees at the Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach, just four miles away. Here, manatees flock to the warmer waters of the discharge canal outside the power station during cooler months. The Center is open Nov. 1 through April 15 and is free to visit. Adjacent to the Viewing Center, at the Apollo Beach Preserve, take a relaxing stroll with the waves lapping at your toes, swim, fish, picnic, and experience one of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable!

Another notable destination is the Riverview Park and Civic Center, which is just over 5-miles away. This is a favorite among locals for enjoying an afternoon on the Alafia River, with a free public boat dock and ramp, canoe and kayak launch, and fishing dock, along with covered picnic pavilions, a 9-acre park, and a pavilion which can be rented for your private events.

Nature isn’t the only way to stay active in Gibsonton. The Spurlino Family YMCA at Big Bend Road offers an “airnasium”, a unique, open-air gymnasium offering various sports, programs and camps.
