USF Polytechnic to Open New Campus in Lakeland
Posted by on February 19, 2010 | CommentsIn an economy where most everything seems to be struggling, Central Florida is booming. Before we know it, construction will begin on Legoland in Winter Haven and Bartow is happy to welcome the new Metromont Concrete manufacturing plans. In addition, and probably some of the most exciting news for Central Florida, the University of South Florida Polytechnic has broken ground on their new campus, which is located at the eastern intersection of the I-4 and the Polk Parkway in North Lakeland.
Projected to open in late summer 2012, the new campus is a tremendous addition to the area. USFP chose this specific location because it is situated along Florida’s High Tech Corridor. The I-4, which connects Tampa and Orlando, is one of the state’s main transportation and tourist routes, increasing visibility for the university while also raising the profile of the region as a technology incubator. Bridgewater Offers Country Club Lifestyle
Posted by on November 13, 2009 | Comments
A Highland Homes community that has attracted a lot of interest this year is BridgeWater in North Lakeland. This community is a master planned development that offers a country club lifestyle with a very affordable price. Highland Homes builds Lakeland new homes at BridgeWater priced from the $150’s and offers floor plans starting at 1,400 square feet to over 2,600 square feet. There is hardly another new home community in Lakeland that can compare with the amenities at BridgeWater – a clubhouse with fitness center, 5 lakes for fishing or canoeing, a bird sanctuary and lots of conservation area with wildlife, a golf course adjacent to the property, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball and bike trails. No wonder there has been so much interest in the central Florida community.
Another great feature for this community is the convenient location. Homeowners can easily commute to Tampa or Orlando from the community. It’s located just one mile south of I-4 at exit 38 and centrally located to both metropolitan areas. Being away from the congested traffic areas of the cities, yet still a short drive to work is a nice advantage. Read More→

Highland Homes offers Incentives that are Beneficial to All

What are builders doing in today’s economy to stay in business? Builders across the country have reduced pricing, given cars and large items away, planned parties and events and tried every incentive imaginable to help sell their homes. So, what does Highland Homes do today in order to remain the leader in home sales in Central Florida? Well, first off they avoid drastically lowering prices because when builders just keep reducing the price, they devalue the rest of the neighborhood, which are also Highland Homes customers. So, the central Florida home builder looked for other options.
One way that has proved to be successful in two of their Lakeland new home communities is to offer Lakefront lots with no additional charge. Typically builders will charge a fee for lots that have a view on water or conservation and in Towne Park and Bridgewater there was plenty of water. Both communities offer large lakes that owners use for kayaking or canoeing, so to offer the site free from fees saves thousands of dollars for the new home buyers, and it also builds additional value for future appreciation. Lakefront homes have considerably more value than non water front lots, so this is something buyers are excited about. Read More→
Steve Hardy in the Spotlight
Posted by on June 8, 2009 | CommentsIt is pretty fair to say that most people do not live in the same town or even the same state they grew up. Test it out, ask your neighbor where they were born. You can almost a guarantee that it wasn’t where that person lives now. Isn’t it almost refreshing to find someone who was born and raised in the same county in which they still live? Like giving a nice nod to tradition.
Steve Hardy gives Lakeland, Florida that very nod. Born and raised in the area, Steve has particularly benefited from living in Lakeland his whole life because of his career in real estate. For 19 years he has given his clients great advice and help that can only come from growing up in Lakeland. He understands that buying a Florida home is one of the biggest investements a person makes so he does everything possible to make it easier. Read More→

And Highland Homes has done it again – they have had another successful month. April concluded with 61 closing for the month! Fantastic job Highland Homes, you are obviously setting a very high standard for the rest of Florida real estate.
These high numbers of new home sales that Highland Homes has been producing every month since last November are starting to get people’s attention. In fact, the Orlando Sentinel has been so impressed that they just had to contact Highland Homes for an interview and to find out what their secret is.
Of course, we already know what their secret is – Highland Homes offers an exceptional product at an affordable price. Plus, they build in some of the most sought-after Central Florida cities including Davenport, Leesburg and Lakeland. They build in much more than just these three cities, but I pointed these ones out in particular because they are home to Highland’s top-selling communities – Andover, Whitemarsh and Bridgewater.
