A Magical Disney Holiday Season

Posted by Highland Homes on December 4, 2009 | Comments (0)

Magic Kingdom with Christmas LightsThe holiday season is upon us and there are hardly any events better than those at Disney World to get you in the holiday spirit. This year, more than ever, it is important to take part in these magical, cheerful events to help brighten your mood and distract you from the stress of our current economy.

Of course, it’s not entirely practical or economical to make a trip to Disney World during the holiday season, unless, of course, you are an Orlando resident. Living in the Orlando area not only makes it extremely convenient to attend all Disney World holiday events every year, but it is also much more affordable since you get to take advantage of the Florida resident rates. Highland Homes builds Orlando new homes at their new community Deer Creek. The central Florida builder also has other communities – Mystery Ridge and Andover, both of which feature new homes in Davenport – in close proximity to these extraordinary theme parks. By living in these communities, there is no reason you can’t make it a family tradition to visit Disney World every holiday season.

So, what exactly does Disney have to offer during this time of year? Read More→

Andover and Mystery Ridge are Top Selling Communities

Posted by Highland Homes on November 9, 2009 | Comments (0)

Florida new homesOctober was a huge month for Highland Homes with 41 contracts written on their Florida homes. Even though we are only one week into November, it also is shaping up to be an incredibly successful month. The Orlando area seems to be the hot area for Highland Homes with the two top selling communities offering new homes in the Orlando area priced from the low $100′s.

Andover is located in East Polk County just off highway 17/92 and prices start in the $120’s. This community is very popular with Disney employees as well as workers from the other local theme parks. Buyers say the reason they have interest in this community is due to the convenient drive to work, yet the location is out of the congested traffic areas. Andover is a quaint community that is almost sold out, but Ken Smith, community sales manager says he is already selling at another near-by community. Mystery Ridge is only one block away with similar floor plans and pricing. Read More→
