Winter Haven New Homes Located Near Economic Development

There is a lot going on in Winter Haven these days. Everywhere you look a new business is popping up, and even the area’s latest development, Legoland Florida, has plans for expansion. The city is definitely in a state of growth, and our Winter Haven new homes are in the center of it all.
The Landings, a redevelopment project on the Chain of Lakes complex property, recently announced that its first tenant will be Panera Bread, and more tenant announcements are expected soon. Other new businesses to the Winter Haven area coming soon including Aldi, Zaxby’s, Murphy Oil Corporation and Pet Supermarket, and the city also offers recently opened businesses including Honey Baked Ham on Cypress Garden Boulevard and the Laughing Owl Market in downtown.

The New Year is a time for fresh starts and new beginnings, and it seems that we’ll be seeing both here in Florida. Those shopping for new homes and new jobs will be happy to hear that Winter Haven and Lakeland homes will be in the center of an economic expansion, according to the recent Forbes.com article “Where the Jobs Will (and Won’t) Be in 2012.”
Both cities plan to increase their workforces at an accelerated rate this year as compared to other metropolitan areas in the country, and several key factors are contributing to this growth. In Winter Haven, the highly anticipated theme park, Legoland Florida, opened and brought with it approximately 1,100 jobs, and the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce reports upcoming employment opportunities with CSX and planned retail developments.

Highland Homes Wins Home of the Year for its Winter Haven Home at Overlook Ridge

Overlook Ridge is located off Overlook Road just south of Dundee Road in Winter Haven. The new model center was finished just in time for the Parade of Homes on Saturday, Oct. 29. Homes are judged in several price ranges, and every year we have entered a home in the Parade, we have won the coveted “Home of the Year” award for our entry.
This year was no different, and the new Edinburgh II model at Overlook Ridge was awarded the top prize in our price category. Almost Time for Legoland Florida to Open Near Winter Haven New Homes!

The theme park is on schedule to open to the general public on Oct. 15, with construction crews putting the finishing touches on the park just this past Wednesday.
