\n\nWhen we are getting ready to open a Florida new home community, Highland Homes’ employees work as a team to prepare and decorate our model homes. From selecting paint colors to window treatments and furniture, each one of the model homes is a team effort.\n\nFor the past three years the Highland Homes Purchasing Manager, Harley Constant II, has been working with our design team to create custom beds and furniture for our Florida model homes. After the design team determines a room by room theme and color plan, Harley designs custom beds and accessories to tie the design plan together. His creative beds have been a focal point in our kid's bedrooms and Highland Homes loves showcasing his custom furniture in our models because it helps home shoppers to visualize how their family will use space in the home. \n\n

\n\nHarley is a husband and father of three children himself, and originally began designing custom furniture for his kids. His first piece was a Spongebob Squarepants bed for his three-year-old son, followed by a castle bed and Cinderella coach entertainment center for his four-year-old princess, and a Dora treehouse bed for his baby girl. When he received wonderful feedback from friends and family who admired his work, he decided to make building custom children’s furnishings a business, and so began Constant Creation.\n\nHighland Homes loved the idea of incorporating his custom beds into our models and they can be seen in our model homes in Belmont Park in Mulberry and Deer Creek in St. Cloud. Last year, Constant Creation also built the megaphone nightstand and hand-carved wooden fort and bench in our award-winning model home at Overlook Ridge in Winter Haven.\n\n

\n\nHarley enjoys coming up with new ideas and has expanded his wood work into making beds for themes like soccer and basketball, and accessories that include custom shaped framed mirrors and nightstands. Constant Creation has allowed him to use his love of woodworking and his imagination to create bedroom dream worlds for children. He can build about any theme you can come up with; visit one of our sales centers today to view his custom furniture and you can contact Constant Creation on Facebook.\n\nDecorating rooms to your personal style will truly make your house a home, and when you use fun and useful furnishings in kid’s rooms, they will forever cherish the memories and great times in that space.\n\nFor more information on designing and building your new home in Central Florida, visit the Highland Homes website.
