\n\nOn Jan. 28 and 29, Florida new home builder Highland Homes participated in the 15th Annual Lakeland Pigfest by sponsoring Fatt Ashes BBQ, a competition barbecue team founded by our construction manager David McMillan and plans coordinator Charlie Laughon. We’re pleased to announce that Fatt Ashes BBQ was named the Publix Backyard Grand Champions in the amateur category, and also took home trophies in the brisket category and the ribs competition!\n\nThe event was a huge success, and the Highland Homes booth was in the middle of it all. Members of our sales staff were on hand giving away koozies, more than 1,500 Mardi Gras beads and fliers. We also entered attendees in a raffle where one lucky winner took home a barbecue tool set.\n\nComplementing the fun, and drawing a huge crowd to the Florida home builder’s booth, were two disc jockeys from TCB Sound Services; a company founded by Tim Parker and Harley Constant, also from Highland Homes. View the YouTube video to see all of the excitement.\n\nCongratulations to David, Charlie and the Fatt Ashes team!\n\nFor more information about their amazing barbecue, visit the Fatt Ashes BBQ Facebook page.
