Beautiful new home at Palmetto Estates in Manatee County
If you’re looking to become a Florida homeowner, you may want to consider new homes in Ocala or the North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota metropolitan area. Both were recently named two of the best regions in the nation to purchase real estate.
In a recent article, NerdWallet conducted an analysis to determine the best places for homeownership based on three main criteria. Researchers analyzed the 100 most populous metropolitan areas of the US for characteristics that would be appealing to homebuyers, namely availability, affordability and area growth. Availability was determined by home ownership rates, where a high rate of ownership rated a high score and low ownership rates signal a competitive market with expensive housing and more appeal to renters. Affordability was determined by examining median household income and monthly homeowner cost; areas with high income and low cost of living received high scores. Finally, area growth was determined by measuring population growth over a one year period, and indicates an area attractive to new residents and with a strong local economy. Lastly, the list was separated into small, medium and large-sized metro areas, to better compare cities that would appeal to everyone.
