According to a recent study, Orlando is one of the hottest housing markets in the country! Auction.com, an online real estate marketplace, listed the 50 largest housing markets in the U.S. in its Top Single-Family Housing Markets Report for fall 2015. Orlando ranked number three in the nation based on a combination of housing affordability, rising home prices, and housing demand, combined with economic and demographic conditions which indicate strong future housing demand.
Orlando has experienced a strong recovery after a hard hit in the recession, and boasts a continuing increase in home prices and sales. Prices are up 10 percent from a year ago and a staggering 48 percent from 2011 when the market bottomed out. The study predicts pricing will continue to rise, as prices remain 27 percent below their pre-recession highs.
In addition, Orlando’s economy is expected to continue to prosper off its leisure and hospitality sectors, making Orlando one of the hottest places in the nation to buy a home.
