Parents in Bartow and South Lakeland are excited for the opening of Spessard L. Holland Elementary, a new school off of US 98 South and E.F. Griffin Rd. which will be opening this month. Students from Stevens, Valleyview and Highland City Elementary have been rezoned to attend this state-of-the-art elementary, and the school is open to other students throughout Polk County.\n\nKindergarten through 5th grade students will enjoy the benefits of a high-tech classroom setup featuring interactive smart boards, an audio enhancement system to amplify the teacher's voice, and 3-4 laptop computers in every classroom.
